Builder Overview
A tour of the Form Builder interface
The builder has three areas: the sidebar on the left, the canvas in the middle, and the properties panel on the right when something is selected.
The Sidebar (Left)
The sidebar holds seven panels. Click an icon to switch between them.
- Templates: Browse and insert a ready-made template.
- Blocks: Add content blocks — text, buttons, form inputs and links.
- Shapes: Shapes and icons, grouped by category.
- Photos: Browse the built-in photo library.
- Videos: Browse the built-in video library.
- Uploads: Your own uploaded files.
- AI Studio: AI-powered tools.
The Canvas (Center)
This is your workspace.
- Drag and drop: Drag anything from the sidebar onto the canvas and put it where you want it. Blocks are placed freely, not stacked in a fixed list.
- Live preview: What you see is what the person filling it in will see.
- Select to edit: Click any element to open its settings in the properties panel on the right.
The Properties Panel (Right)
Selecting a block opens its own settings. What you get depends on the block — an input has different options from an image. Common ones are:
- Content: Label, placeholder and help text.
- Typography: Font, size, weight and alignment.
- Colour: Text, background and border colours.
- Border and shadow: Radius, width and drop shadow.
Top Bar
- Save status: Shows Saving…, Saved, Unsaved, or Couldn't save.
- Preview: Opens a preview of the form, with device rotation and zoom.
- Save: Saves your work. Autosave also runs in the background.
- Publish: Makes the form live.
Undo and redo are available while you work.
